HBL’s internships offer far more than a way to spend a semester.  They offer a chance for you to contribute to the firm’s operations in a meaningful, significant way.  We have a family relationship with all of our employees and each new employee is treated as a family member.  While many internship positions offer little more than scanning, filing, and assembling, our internships give real, hands-on experience in what you really want to do.  Do you want to be introduced to tax preparation and the world of taxation by helping to prepare business and individual tax returns?  HBL offers two different internship divisions, those being Accounting & Controllership, and Tax.  Our internships are offered as opportunities arise during varying seasons, and we offer part-time flexibility. Typically our tax internships are offered January through April 15th.

Qualification requirements for the internships are as follows:

• At least in your second year of a degreed accounting program (Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program)
• An accounting GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
