Joey is a Tax Manager at HBL CPAs with 15 years of public accounting experience and joined the firm in 2025. Experience includes handling monthly clients with financial statements, payroll returns, 1099s, and year-end adjustments; conducting general audit fieldwork and inventory observations; and preparing and reviewing a wide range of tax returns, including 1040s, 1120s, 1120Ss, 1065s, 990s, 1041s, and 5500s.
Graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 2008. Outside of work, enjoys running mountain ultra-marathons in the 30–50 mile range with a goal of completing a 100-mile race in the coming years. In 2022, spent a month bikepacking the Colorado Trail.
